A deep connection with Jazz is the key element which has characterised the sound and professional life of producer and composer Gaspare De Vito. Influenced from an early stage by his home in Naples and the sounds of the Mediterranean, he was inspired by the freedom to be found in music, and first began to look into the music of different cultures, before later being drawn into the more globalised scene of electronica in early 2015.
His experiments in production and talents as a multi-instrumentalist have led to Vito being voted one of the best saxophonists in Italy, and receiving invitations to a wide variety of international Jazz festivals, including Clusone Jazz Festival, Jazz In it, Sant’arcangelo Jazz Festival, and a host of others. The professional career of Gaspare De Vito has seen the artist work together with other well established musicians, in addition to involving himself both as a member and leader of a number of bands both in and out of Italy.
Together with independent label Frequenza Vito has recently kicked off a fresh self-titled solo project, starting with the release of the EP ‘Actual Proof’. Here two techno tracks are presented that bring to light the artist’s talent when focusing on the more contemporary fields of deep house and ambient.
