Immrcy creates a portal into his world of beats with ‘dream leakage’

Texas artist immrcy furthers his lo fi discography with ‘de[com]pression :: [exo]’, heralded by single ‘dream leakage’

Texas beat maker immrcy has been experimenting with his sound and staying invested in the art he creates for the better part of a decade. Kicking off his electronic career around 2013, immrcy built up his extensive discography brick by brick, cultivating a forest of beat track collections which spreads out to different sounds and styles.

Taking a dip into immrcy’s work, the key theme at play seems to be warmth. Basslines are soft and synth pads are gentle in their envelopment of the listener. Immrcy has grown a downtempo, lo fi soaked world and can tend to it at his leisure.

The most recent track immrcy has brought to fruition is ‘dream leakage’, a forerunner of his newest 14 track collection ‘de[com]pression :: [exo]’ which was released just as we moved from July to August.  It’s a release that fits in with the recent series of tapes titled ‘de[com]pression’, bringing in deep IDM beats and downtempo house.

Dream leakage itself is thick with percussive clatters at the edge of more cosmic fed synthwave; softer tones offsetting the glitch elements which begin to spiral out of control. The final release of de[com]pression :: [exo] takes things further; expect hip hop, texture and a whole realm under immrcy’s control.
