Organic Audio Recipes with Angermund's 'Naboens Sveler' Remixes EP

Norwegian producer and musician Angermund searches for the organic details within everyday life. Whether it be field recordings from his mountain town of Bergen, an old dusty synthesizer or the smell of fresh waffles floating on the morning breeze, Angermund finds inspiration in the live and spontaneous elements of the day to day. Growing up with a wide variety of musical influences and ideas it wasn’t until his early twenties when he realized the common thread amongst them all was the sheer fascination with synthesizers and electronic production.

His new EP entitled ‘Naboens Sveler’ features all the right ingredients for an organic and earthy eclectic techno recipe. With the name of the EP translating as ‘the neighbour's pikelets’ you know something tasty has been cooking. The EP opens with the original mix from Angermund, featuring a whimsical wafting of off-kilter percussion, high hats and steady kicks. Mhost Likely label boss Minus Magnus steps up on remix duties for a slightly more pointed and headlong approach to the original. Maintaining the quality ingredients of the original track while adding his some of his own seasonings, Magnus brings in some classic 909 drums and a modulating 303 baseline to spice things up. Finally, Flatt Matt adds one last piece of the palette with a slightly more slung and lofi take on the original, allowing for a subtle vocal snippet to float around the head of the listener while adding his own signature to the release.

All in all, a solid EP from Angermund and company on the newly minted label - Mhost Likely. A great addition to any techno playlist or DJ’s usb and a must have for your next waffle breakfast dance party.
