Oct. 31. 2016

ADSR Mix 019 by Ed Nodda from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.

Ed Nodda is the house & techno moniker from Vancouver Island’s Matt Hali. Matt got his start in Canadian electronic music as the mix series coordinator of the Countries first notable weekly podcast for Dubstep, “J’aime Le Dubstep.” The series went on to be nominated for a Dubstep forum award in 2011. Crude Records was founded after that and featured a wide array of artists mainly from Western Canada. Some of the releases included Dan Solo, Self Evident, Michael Red, HxdB, Daega Sound, DJG and more. The evolution of that imprint became a collaborative project with Modern Math which saw 4 releases in 2014 ending with a 12” vinyl release featuring Vancouver’s Taal Mala and LA’s Grenier. Matt has also been known to collaborate on club and warehouse events in multiple cities since 2010. With the business end of things laid to rest he has now put his energy into producing and playing dance music.

Word from the artist:

“This mix features some new releases from the fall and a couple summer tracks from a handful of my favourite producers and labels. It was difficult to narrow the tracklist down to fit 60 minutes but the end result varies from deep house bridging tech house with some splashes of techno for good measure. It is a peaks and valleys mix so to speak. Hopefully it leaves you wanting more techno bangers meanwhile appreciating the deeper rollers. Enjoy!”
